Welcome to the XTERRA SoCal Trail Run Series!
XTERRA Boney Mountain takes place on January 21, 2018, in Point Mugu State Park, but for this event we start on the northern edge of the park. The start is in RANCHO SIERRA VISTA/SATWIWA NATIONAL PARK in Newbury Park (just west of Thousand Oaks). This event is the Grand Daddy of the series, not for the faint of heart, but if you dare to enter you’ll experience some of the most scenic back country in the Santa Monica Mountains. The 6k is a great intro event with paved roads and singletrack along Upper Sycamore Canyon.
The event field is limited, so enter early. Please note that the course closes at 11:30am, so you must finish before then!
HALF DISTANCE TRIATHLON! 70.3 MILES
The 70.3 Mile HALF DISTANCE course deemed The CVC SAN DIEGO HALF, will provide San Diego triathletes as well as regional, national and international athletes a chance to compete in a longer endurance event. The Half will be limited to 200 athletes so early registration is encouraged.
THIS TRIATHLON IS DESIGNED FOR A WHOLE DAY OF FUN FOR RACERS, FRIENDS AND FAMILIES!
All the courses have been redesigned to make this event Super Athlete and Spectator Friendly. All race distances, the HALF, INTERNATIONAL, SPRINT AND KIDS events will start and finish at Bayside Park on Sunday August 13, 2017. The park will host the Swim Start, the Transition Area, the Hot Lap corners for the run and bike, Expo, Kids Fun Zone, and end with a Beach Party Finish line featuring a Beer Garden and Mexican Food.
The XTERRA Turkey Trot is race #2 of the series and features three exciting courses: the 15k, 10k and the 5k fun run on the scenic trails at Trippet Ranch in Topanga State Park on SATURDAY, November 24, 2018. The event field is limited, so enter early. See below for course preview run details.
NOTE: The event is now on SATURDAY after Thanksgiving Day! What better way to say thanks than running on the trails at Topanga State Park!
The 5k is a fun run – we do give out finisher medals, but we do not award age group medals. We will be posting times for all events at the race and online.
These holiday runs have a mixture of dirt and paved trails. You are going to feel like a pilgrim running across a stream and through the woods. This run has great mountain and lake views. Come out and burn those holiday calories. Take a break from your holiday shopping and get out to Bonelli Park for a fun filled holiday run. Thinking about jogging with a stroller? The 5K course is all paved and fine for strollers but the 10K course is on trails and passes through a stream – and is not recommended for strollers.
It’s fun for the whole family so don’t forget the KIDS either! Keep your kids in the action and promote physical fitness with this 1/2 mile run. Each child will get a finisher medal.
Everyone gets Pumpkin Pie at the finish line!
We hope you’ll join us at Balboa Park for the 18th Annual Thanksgiving Day 5k!
- A beautiful 5K course in Balboa Park
- A free event T-Shirt with your registration
- A post-race festival with live music and a beer garden (ages 21+)
- An optional pre-race mass celebrated by Father Joe’s Villages leadership
It’s time to get ready for SoCal’s biggest & best Thanksgiving tradition, the Burbank YMCA Turkey Trot. Whether you’re a competitive runner, casual jogger or enthusiastic runner, this Turkey Trot is for you.
More than 3,500 Burbank YMCA members, local residents and dedicated runners from the Los Angeles area descend upon the streets of downtown Burbank to enjoy an event filled with fitness, family, friends and fun!
All proceeds support the Y’s Financial Assistance Program, a program
that makes it possible for everyone, regardless of means, to enjoy Y
programs & services. We’ve promised to never turn anyone away
because of inability to pay, and we’re only able to keep that promise
because of funds raised through events like Turkey Trot. So run, walk,
or push a stroller…have a great time while you support a great cause!
Trot before you gobble! In the spirit of Thanksgiving, this event benefits the Midnight Mission – an amazing organization that offers a path to self sufficiency to those experiencing homelessness.
The race features a 5K and 1K Little Gobbler’s run in the majestic topography of Rancho Mission Viejo. Start a new family tradition and join the fun! Proceeds from the race will benefit The Reserve at Rancho Mission Viejo connecting Orange County residents to nature through school programs, on-site education and recreation.
