Desert Triathlon is the unofficial kickoff to triathlon season. The Big Rock Triathlon has been a favorite for over a decade . We offer the Olympic distance triathlon, the sprint distance triathlon and an off-road MTB triathlon. Olympic: Swim 1.5k, Bike 40k, Run 10k
Sprint: Swim 1/2 mi, Bike 12 mi, Run 3 mi
Off-Road: Swim 1/2 mi, Bike 12 to 14 mi, Run 3 mi
Calm lake swim, with a great bike course that has a short climb (off-road course has a few steep climbs) the run is fun and fast with a few very short up and downs
Water temp is in the low 60’s and the weather is usually in the mid 70’s

The Spring Sprint Triathlon, Duathlon & Aquabike is a fanatic event to start the Triathlon season in San Diego. With a calm bay swim, a flat bike and run course, the Spring Sprint is the perfect race to kick off your Year. Whether you are an experienced triathlete, Duathlete, or Aqua Bike Racer preparing for the season, or a first timer looking for a fun race, the Spring Sprint on Mission Bay is for you! Part of the USAT WEST REGIONAL YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP TRIATHLON SERIES.
20th annual Breath of Life Ventura Triathlon/Relay will be held on Sunday, May 20th, 2018 at Ventura Harbor, Ventura, CA. A portion of proceeds from this charity event will go towards the improvement of treatment facility at local hospitals supporting children diagnosed with Primary Immunodeficiency (PI). We encourage athletes to perform their own fundraising in support of this cause.
The Orange County Triathlon starts at BEAUTIFUL Lake Mission Viejo. The Duathlon starts with a fast 2K run before joining the triathletes on the bike. The 40K bike course is a gradual climb up Santiago Canyon Road before a fast ride downhill to T2. The 10K run takes you on paths and trails leading you back to cheering crowds at Lake Mission Viejo.
The Carlsbad Triathlon course begins at Tamarack Surf Beach, and follows the coastline of Carlsbad, past scenic beaches, lagoons and a wildlife preserve. This sprint triathlon boasts a 1k ocean swim, a 25k rolling bike course and a 5k smooth run for the finish.
On behalf of Father Joe’s Villages, we are excited to welcome you to the 35th annual San Diego International Triathlon. This race is one of the longest standing triathlons in the country and a San Diego favorite. There are two courses to choose from an International course and a Sprint course, whichever you choose you’re guaranteed a great race.
Both races take place at the Spanish landing Park located on Harbor Drive across from the San Diego International Airport.
